Blinker before BRAKES

I currently live in Charleston, SC where people clearly learned to drive with inept blinders and ear plugs in. They also must never have been given a book or taken an instructional class that they had to actually pass. I am not exaggerating, THEY CAN'T DRIVE, I mean seriously when it rains it creates mayhem like nothing I have ever seen. This includes driving in a snow storm in NJ in 1996 which caused my private school to cancel midterms because the school was shut down for a full week. So this morning I am driving behind someone who brakes, which I know means they are going to turn, so I contemplate laying on the horn, don’t, and then they put the blinker on. All I can think is the blinker before brakes, this is not hard. The blinker is the warning people, you should always apply the blinker before the breaks it simply makes sense. Why is this so hard for people? I don't get it, it takes one second and it probably would decrease the accident rate in this town alone by at least 65%. Blinkers before brakes!

  1. Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. BIG. BIG, BIG pet peeve of Mr. P. and me. Please visual using your turn signals and then practice, practice, practice, to gain muscle memory. Obviously, mental retention has not occurred.
