Breaking up Christmas

It's that sad time of the winter when it is cold and dark and just when we need light the most everybody turns out the lights. Every Christmas The Great HB (my son) and I have the same conversation. Christmas seems to end sometime late in the afternoon on Christmas Day. What happened to the 12 days of Christmas? You know partridge in a pear tree and stuff like that. you know the time from the birth of Christ (December 25th) to King's Day/Epiphany on Jan 6th when the Three Wise Men got there and offered their gifts. When did the 12 days get "moved" to before Christmas? Let's face it all the peace, love, joy, celebrating and well wishing occurs before the 25th. At least the Brits and Canadians get Boxing Day. Comes the revolution and I am Queen (ya, right chick) there will be revels of all kinds from the 25th through the 6th and that is that. Things like this is what make people eccentric. Mr. P. says I can take down the tree when I want and I'm holding out 'til its dusk at 6PM :). Caio for now. Keep the porch light on. Somebody is out there trying to find their way home.
